Description
This PINK 2018 magnum was made from 40% Pinot Noir and 60% Pinot Meunier, 100% of the juice was from the cuvée. Less than half the base wines went though malo-lactic fermentation and some 16% were fermented in neutral oak barrels. It was disgorged to 9.0 g/l of residual sugar and has a total acidity of 8.6 g/l. It has had 53 months on lees and 8 months under cork.
Tasting Notes
As a longer aged version, the wine has a delicate copper hue. The aroma seamlessly blends the benefits of extended ageing on yeast lees and under cork with strawberry yogurt, burnt toast and citrus marmalade. On the palate, the effect of ageing in magnum is felt by the soft and velvety mousse, which delivers mouth filling creaminess alongside crunchy red fruits, which persist thanks to a sherbet-like acidity. An elegantly aged example of our PINK from the stellar 2018 vintage.
